COMMISSION: Gauntlet: Warfist of Ares by NikidaEve COMMISSION: Gauntlet: Warfist of Ares by NikidaEve
:bulletblack::bulletred:Commission sold for $165.00:bulletred::bulletblack:

Made for a client :iconpennywize024: and they'd picked the color scheme they wanted. I designed the piece. It's made with handcrafted 3/16" steel links handcut by myself, and the scales; the black and silver are stainless steel, and the red ones are anodized aluminum. The left is me showing the arm off for a woman to wear, despite the brutal, masculine feel. The image to the right is my boyfriend wearing the piece, for a view of how it actually looks on a man.

:bulletred::bulletblack::bulletred:Custom orders available through Etsy!: [link]

[EDIT:] changed images to show bracer with just the scales, men's fitted view, and lastly the side view with better hand image

This gauntlet gets me thinking about a piece for a cosplay of my OC.  A little bit more reptilian green scales, and a properly patterned glove...

I just favorited your Etsy page. :)

That would be a cool cosplay for on OC! This is one of my favorite styles because if the chainmaille glove but I'd love to play around with the idea of something like this again. Just waiting for the right project. Is skaramine the oc name or does your oc have another name?

The OC would be Lumion, whose distinguishing feature from other strong guys is his scaled left arm (a donated limb from a dragon).

Skaramine is more leather mask with built-in goggles and big armored knuckle gloves. :p

I'm glad it caught your eye :) I liked this one the most out of any I've made so far. It was just something that felt like it should have had more to it than the others I've done. The client enjoyed it

Yeah I use paracord to tie them up. Corset style on the underside there's an image in my scraps if you're curious

Thank you! And I don't mind at all, I got them from theringlord.com. They're a Canadian fabricator I believe so shipping is a little higher but totally worth it if you buy multiple bags. And thanks so much for the watch and favs

This one was sold to a client but I can make another for $150, takes about 2 weeks for construction, payment, and shipping. It usually takes less time but that's my window in case I run into an issue with links

yeeeeah, but a pair of dragonscale styled gauntlets is well worth the money. Alternatively I could make them myself for a waay cheaper cost as well, however as an artist and musician, I think it would be great to support another artist. :] once I get the job I'll contact you for a special order of my own

No problem~ I also really admire the patience you must have! My mother used to do chainmail jewelry and she drove herself insane sometimes, hehe.
On average, how much do you charge? :meow: Does it also depend on the complexity?
With the scales It would be cool if you did one of these with a pattern similar to a diamondback snake~ Haha. :D

Your mother did it? Did she stop? It does get hard sometimes becuse the time I invest can range between 15 min to 7 hours. My average price id say between elegant earrings/expensive materials-$30
Regular earrings with small changes: $-2-$25
Simple necklaces-$20-$35
Intricate necklaces/mostly chainmalle necklaces: $40-$65
Armor pieces: vary
Gauntlets: $125-$150 a single $250 a pair

And I'll have to look into their color scheme! It would be cool!
