I would SO use it with a cosplay of something from Slytherin (Harry Potter) hahahha robably of Sissy or Bella. I realy love them both, so, who knows? Maybe I can buy somthing like this from you XD It's incredible, really. But I wish to see something more inspired on phoenixes. Can you imagine something not so 'carneval', but with red, orange and yellow? That'd be fantastic too :D oh! and an Iron man-inspired too! Can oyu imagine it?? Silver, Gray and Wine red/red??? Wow *-* I'm looking forward to it! I bet it'd be spectacular!!!

Best regards,
Vivi xx x

Vision: Nicely done, and a very feminine version of a "militia gauntlet." The pattern of colors was well chosen, as was the layout of bead/chain work across the hand. However, no one that needed to do anything strenuous with their hands would ever wear this. I'm sure it's what your customer wanted, but it's not really appropriate to call it a militia gauntlet.

Originality: Love the combination of textures that you used. The design isn't the most original, but it turned out well - as a complete and interesting piece of work.

Technique: What I can see looks well done, especially if you made each of the scales by hand as well. Not particularly difficult from a technical standpoint, just tedious. Nice combination of materials.

Impact: Striking, interesting, but rather impractical. Typical combination of fantasy and reality in an unrealistic fashion.

What happens when you put your arm to your side? Did you use some kind of rubber rings to hold the gauntlet to the arm?

Paracord rope for a tight, snug fit. they dont drop if you take the time to lace them tightly

I didn't make them. I don't have the tools, but I know how to do it, it's just I don't have that much time to handmake then so I order through a fabricator

It just takes time and some drafting. It's easier to go in prepared.

I did not. Unfortunately I don't have the appropriate presses to do them so I order them in to save some time. All my steel links in various sizes I do make though myself

This is really nice. Did you tailor the shape at all to get it to follow the lines of your forearm so well, or does it lay like that naturally? Looks great either way.

:iconnikidaeve:
NikidaEve Featured By Owner May 9, 2013  Professional Artisan Crafter
Actually, I didn't. It's large enough to wrap 3/4"s of the forearm and leave a gap on the forearm (easier seen in my MLP: cutie mark gauntlet) so it holds form. It's very very flexible

Must be nice to not have to convince the metal to lay the way you want it to :D

Great choice of color combo, by the way.

Starting out is hard. If you keep with it you'll be making this stuff in no time :)

I used 3/16" links and the weave is like an English 4-1 style.
I have a pic in my scraps
