Description

:bulletpurple::bulletblue: If you like this item, please post it to your facebook and spread the word to your friends.:bulletblack:

This is one of two gauntlets for a cosplay for My Little Pony, Princess Luna's Cutie Mark which is a crescent moon. Made for an extremely friendly, and interesting client who requested the design on their own accord for a cosplay they've been dying to do.
:iconvinylscratchfan:

This is made with steel connector links handcrafted by myself in a 16g 3/16" link.
the black scales are stainless steel
the "blue" and purple are anodized aluminum.

The blue are mirror finished aluminum so theyre super shiny. The thing is, is the blue is a film covering the link to protect them from scratching when shipping. The slick silver will offset the purple more when the films are removed.

it also has interchangable ties. In the image shown above, there are purple cords that are fitting for the design, but light blue ribbon can be paired with it to go up to the shoulders, or just to keep it tight and colorful on the forearm.

The crystals are swavorski, in the forms of 2 shades of blue, and purple with silver findings.

:bulletpurple::bulletblue:This is one of two, the set was commissioned and sold for $250 USD

PLEASE NOTE:
definitely the most interesting shapes I've worked with. First time ever putting a design in. The image of the bracer thats located on top right, is 6 rows shorter than the full composition

This looks great, I love the asymmetrical pattern! The purple paracord(?) makes me happy too, I've done a lot of similar stuff with black or green paracord on my scale to fit gauntlets.

One small question I had is whether the edges have extra rings in place to keep the scales from shifting out of position? A picture of the underside would be illuminating.

I wonder a little as to the durability as well, but since this is meant for cosplay it is not as important, the butted rings have more of a chance at coming apart if they are put under too much stress.

One problem that I have had with my gauntlets and still haven't really solved without the use of an underlaid leather bracer is that the gauntlet falls down the arm when the arm is positioned in a relaxed state. This leads to the scales bunching up and not being useful for armor or looking good anymore. I don't know if you've solved this problem but if you have I would love to hear how!

I am very impressed with this work! The scales and color choices came together very well to make a very beautiful piece!
