Description
requested this be commissioned, as she wanted teriary colors for a piece. Cyan, Orange and the light green blended wonderfully together for this piece. It turned out to be a Christmas gift, as I went all out on it. I did not have large scales, so the main flower is a smaller piece.
Scale flowers are made with 3/16" anodized aluminum jump rings, and small scales in 3-layer green, blue, and orange flower. There are little pollen stems made with seed beads and a painted crackle orange bead in each stem.
Additional scale flowers are single layer 5-point flowers, with a rotating interior weave and accented with offsetting colors jump rings 3/16" anodized aluminium in orange and blue. Green is to make it look leafy and flowery.
Chains were all handcrafted using chainmaille weaves: 3-1 half Persian for the 3/16" anodized aluminum links in green, orange, and blue.
3-tier English Byzantine Tri-Cage weave made with 1/8" anodized aluminum links, creating a fading effect into each color.
Lovely bright swavorski crystals drape from the flowers for a beautiful, and tasteful asymmetrical look that will turn heads. This piece is exquisite, well crafted, and was extremely fun to make. This was my second piece of this style. Can be made in an array of color schemes upon request. International shipping can be set up, but prices may vary upon location. Overall Vision Originality
Technique Impactthings that i love: its mine! also the color palette. its almost tertiary and pops enough to keep it interesting but not so much in your face that it is annoying. the necklace itself is very well crafted and fits perfectly! the swavorski accents really add to the elegance to it as well. The design is original and even though it is scalemaille and chainmaille it is very feminine and delicate too.
only downside is that we need to figure out a counter balance for it so it doesn't slide, it isn't drastic but i tend to fix it a lot at work, but that might be because i am running around like a maniac and the constant movement agitates it.
so overall, i give it almost a full 5 stars, mainly because its mine and I'm biased, but i have been eyeballing a piece like this for a long time and I'm glad i finally have been able to acquire it. and these colors are way better than the analogous color scheme that was done for the first piece (personal opinion)
